Enhanced tungsten protection delivers exceptional wear life in the toughest clay conditions.
As part of our ongoing product development, we enhanced the R2862 Sumo GLS point by adding extra tungsten up the shin and to the rear of the wing, building on the strength of the previous version. One of our long‑standing customers trialled the updated design over the past year and into this season, putting it through 395 acres of demanding clay soil.
At around the 300‑acre mark, the customer carried out some additional welding to extend the life of the part — a common practice in heavy clay conditions. Even with this challenging environment, the feedback has been extremely positive.
