Spaldings Joins Forces with Local Schools to Clean Up the Community

Spaldings Ltd is proud to announce its support for the Great British Spring Clean by donating 100 litterpickers and a number of plastic bin bag hoops to local schools. This initiative aims to empower students to take an active role in sprucing up their community and fostering a cleaner, greener environment.

As a company deeply rooted in the Lincolnshire community, Spaldings is committed to making a positive impact. By providing these essential tools, we are helping schools in the area engage their students in meaningful environmental stewardship. The donation will enable young people to participate in litter-picking activities, promoting a sense of responsibility and pride in their surroundings.

We are thrilled to support the Great British Spring Clean and contribute to the wellbeing of our community,” said Dave Fox, Chairman at Spaldings. “By equipping local schools with litterpickers, we hope to inspire the next generation to take care of their environment and understand the importance of maintaining clean and safe public spaces.

Spaldings generously donated 25 litterpickers or hoops to each of the following schools: Waddington Redwood Primary Academy, Priory Witham Academy, Ruskington Chestnut Street Primary Academy, Birchwood Junior School and St Peter at Gowts.

Priory Witham Academy expressed their gratitude, saying, “Our Mini Police in Primary have been out litter picking in the local community, and the Year 7 pupils also participated in litter picking last year. We previously borrowed some from the local library, so having our own on site would be wonderful.

The Great British Spring Clean is a nationwide campaign organised by Keep Britain Tidy, encouraging communities to come together and tackle litter. Spaldings’ contribution will not only aid in cleaning up the local area but also educate students on the significance of environmental conservation.
