Sowing Seeds of Change
This week, Spaldings had the pleasure of welcoming Rosie Crust, Head of Charity at the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society (LAS), to our Head Office on Sadler Road, Lincoln. Rosie toured our business to gain insight into our operations and shared the ethos of the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society with us, following the exciting announcement that they have been nominated as our Local Charity of the Year.
Established in 1869, the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society is a charitable organisation dedicated to educating the county about food, farming, and sustainable environments. Their education team plans a year-round calendar of events designed to inspire and engage children of all ages with food and farming in Lincolnshire.
A key focus of their educational efforts is to invite schools to take learning beyond the classroom, helping students develop a deeper understanding of where their food comes from and how it is produced. The charity believes that all young people should have the opportunity to learn about farming, food production, and the countryside. To ensure this, LAS has developed a comprehensive program of events that provide children from all backgrounds access to these valuable learning experiences.
Nigel Whelan, Spaldings Chief Operating Officer, commented:
“We are excited about this partnership, which aligns perfectly with our values. Stay tuned for updates on the activities Spaldings will be involved in to help raise funds and awareness for this worthy cause.”
